INGRID WIENER geb. 1942 in Wien Studiert Textiles Design an der HTL Wien. Mitwirkung an Aufführungen der „WIENER GRUPPE“ und an Experimentalfilmen. 1971 – 84 Mitinhaberin und Chefköchin der Künstlerlokale MATALA, EXIL, AX BAX in BERLIN, später CLAIMS CAFE in Dawson City, Kanada. Gesangsperformances, Kochperformances, Schallplatten sowie Filmdokumentationen für das Österreichische Fernsehen mit VALIE EXPORT und Oswald Wiener. Seit 1988 Fotos der arktischen Landschaft aus dem eigenen Flugzeug. Ungefähr gleichzeitig, 1974 – 1997, künstlerische Zusammenarbeit mit Dieter Roth. Es entstehen Gesamtkunstwerke, deren Kern ein Wandteppich ist. Seit 1995 Beschäftigung mit Vorstellungsbildern im Traum. Traumaquarelle, Webbilder. Seit 2006 Performances, CDs (supposé, Köln) etc. zusammen mit Rosa Barba, Klaus Sander, Jan St. Werner und Oswald Wiener. Ausstellungen in Österreich, Italien, Deutschland, Schweiz und Kanada. Zusammen mit Dieter Roth unter anderem in MOMA, N.Y., Museum LUDWIG, Köln, SECESSION, Wien. Einzelausstellungen: Galerie MORRA, Neapel, Galerie WIEN LUKATSCH, Berlin, Galerie HOHENTHAL UND BERGEN, Berlin, Galerie CHARIM, Wien, KUNSTHAUS MÜRZ, Steiermark, NEUE GALERIE, Graz Gruppenausstellungen mit Webbildern und Traumaquarellen: u.a. Sammlung HAUBROK, Sammlung CHARIM, ZKM, Karlsruhe, Kunsthaus WEIZ, Steiermark, Musee d’Art Moderne, Paris.

Charim Galerie Wien was founded 1998 by Miryam Charim. Since the beginning Miryam Charim puts the focus of her gallery program on well known international artist in exchange with young emerging artist. The gallery represents participants of documenta and other various high profiled art events. Namely: Dorit Margreiter, Anna Jermolaewa, Andreij Monastyrskij, Lisl Ponger, Dorothee Golz and Milica Tomic. The gallery also puts a spotlight on young emerging artists, showing works of them at various art fairs, establishing contacts to curators and collections, and introducing them to the wider art public. Artists from a younger generation are Markus Krottendorfer, Robert Muntean, Daniel Pitin, Roberta Lima and Tamuna Sirbiladze. Along with solo shows the gallery we also focus on thematic group shows dealing with issues of society, which are located within the political discourse of our time. Partly the gallery space is used as a platform and meeting place for young artists, writers, critics and political/social activists.
