Artist Statement MARLEN LETETZKI (2021) (Deutsch) Ich male Bilder, in denen der Transformationsprozess von Farbe zu einer Darstellung von Räumlichkeit untersucht wird. Mich fasziniert, dass Farbe entweder sich selbst zeigt oder unsichtbar wird und eine Abbildung offenbart. Dabei spiele ich mit Ebenen, Andeutungen, Oberflächen und Lichtstimmungen. Ich schöpfe aus einem Bildvokabular, das vornehmlich aus einer digitalen Welt stammt. Mit 3D Software modelliere ich virtuell Objekte, die ich zum Teil anschließend mit weiteren Elementen unterschiedlichen Ursprungs in einem Bild vereine. (English) I paint images that explore the transformation process of color into a representation of spatiality. I am fascinated that color either shows itself or becomes invisible and reveals an image. In doing so, I play with layers, hints, surfaces, and moods of light. I draw from an image vocabulary that comes primarily from a digital world. With 3D software, I virtually model objects, some of which I then combine with other elements of different origins in an image.

Brief description of the gallery Independently founded in Berlin 2006 and successfully operating for over 10 years, galleries FELDBUSCH WIESNER and JETTE RUDOLPH joined forces in September 2016. The combined expertise of both galleries, an expanded artist portfolio, and a broader contact had positive repercussions for artists, collectors and art institutions.The new and spacious location of FELDBUSCH WIESNER RUDOLPH since September 2017 is at Jägerstraße 5, 10117 Berlin -Mitte Gallery FELDBUSCHWIESNERRUDOLPH has been successfully representing mid-career and emerging contemporary artists. The gallery defines itself as a mediator for singular positions and discoverer of emerging artists who endeavour to follow very individual practices. We put priority on cooperation and discourse with our artists and collectors. At least once a year we invite a guest curator and with it open our doors to artists from all over the world.
