Meyer Kainer
Since 1990 Meyer Kainer, at that time under the name Galerie Metropol, focused on artists like Hanne Darboven, Andrea Fraser, Bruce Nauman, Raymond Pettibon, Charles Ray and Rosemarie Trockel.
In 1999, the gallery, owned and directed by Renate Kainer and Christian Meyer was relocated under the name Meyer Kainer in Vienna’s gallery district Eschenbachgasse.
Presenting shows by Vienna’s leading contemporary artists like gelatin, Ulrike Müller, Florian Pumhösl, Franz West and Heimo Zobernig alongside internationally renowned artists like Dan Graham, Liam Gillick, Rachel Harrison, Kris Lemsalu, Sarah Morris and Amelie von Wulffen is the key aspect of the gallery’s activities within the young and dynamic Viennese art scene.
